Week 1 Progress - Heading in the Right Direction

I am totally stoked about the success during week 1. I am down 4 pounds and 5 inches total!!! I really think that the tracking has been key this week as I have started in the right direction. Why does tracking work? It holds you accountable. When I keep track, I am more conscientious of what is going in my body and it motivates me to work out when I eat terribly. This journey is even more special because my hubby is doing this with me. He has lost 8 pounds so far and I am so proud of him!!! Even though I am still struggling with my eating, I am still doing much better. Below are a few pics from my food tracker:

New Filofax Inserts

I have been working on new inserts for my Filofax. I love pretty pages but don't always have time to decorate my pages. To remedy this, I am working on different inserts that are already decorated! I have added a Week on 2 Pages insert for A5 (half letter) and a Food Tracker for Personal (3.75X6.75). I cut down my paper before printing my inserts to make it easier. On the Right Track

I have been tracking my fitness and nutrition in my Chameleon Filofax for about a week now. Tonight's workout was not as intense as I am capable of but more so than it has been in a couple of months. I did 20 minutes of Step aerobics...practicing. Next, I did weight training for another 20 minutes or so. Notice the purple arrow? I had to continue writing my workout on a sticky note because I ran out of room! I know I will be sore in the next couple of days but it will all be worth it if the scale continues to go in the right direction. On top of all that, I have felt wonderful! Doesn't get any better than that. 

My Full Workout
Step Aerobics - High Impact (20 minutes)
Chest Presses (3 minutes)
Deadlift/Rows (3 minutes)
Tricep Extensions (2 minutes)
22 Pushups

Doing Just Fine

Though I have a hard time understanding 
Just want it means to be me 
I continue to believe in myself 
And push hard towards my dream 
I may not always know 
God's purpose for me in this life 
But I find much peace in knowing 
I am doing just fine!

Rainy Days

The silent wind whispers, gently 
As I brush the fallen rain from my face 
The sensation so abrupt, but peaceful 
Calming the rushed patter of the worries 
that envelope my mind 
I breath a sigh of relief inviting 
the tranquility of my current state 
Hoping the rain never ends 
Welcoming the dark clouds 
"Rest easy, live free" the wind hollers 
to my awakened senses 
"Inhale the freshness of the drizzle" bellows 
the light gust.
